Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, after clearing all immigration and customs procedures, please proceed to the arrival hall via the exit gate. Your guide will be waiting for you at the exit, holding a welcome sign with your name on it. They will assist you with your luggage and transfer you to your hotel in Hanoi.

The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Overnight at hotel in Ha Noi for 3 nights

Day 2: Hanoi (B/ L/ -)

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide and driver will meet you in the lobby at approximately 8:00 AM to begin your day exploration of Hanoi.

Known for its leafy boulevards, elegant French colonial architecture, tranquil lakes, Hanoi is a charming blend of East and West, tradition and modernity.

Your journey begins with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts, which offers insight into the simple life of Vietnam’s beloved leader. Nearby, you’ll also explore the One Pillar Pagoda, a unique structure rising from a single stone pillar in a lotus pond.

Next, delve into Vietnam’s scholarly and spiritual past with a stop at the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university, originally dedicated to Confucius.

Continue to the shores of West Lake, Hanoi’s largest lake, and visit two of the city’s most important religious sites: the peaceful Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest Buddhist temple in Hanoi, and the revered Quan Thanh Temple, a Taoist sanctuary dating back to the 11th century.

After a break for lunch, you will visit the Museum of Ethnology, which showcases the diverse cultures of Vietnam’s many ethnic groups.

Later in the afternoon, hop aboard a traditional rickshaw (cyclo) for a relaxing ride through the atmospheric Old Quarter.

End your day with a delightful Water Puppet Show, a traditional Vietnamese art form that dates back centuries, reflecting the spirit and storytelling of Vietnam’s rural culture.

Day 3: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay (B/ L/ -)

Depart Hanoi for a 2.5-hour drive to Halong Bay, a UNESCO Natural Heritage Site. Covering an area of 43,400 ha (168 sq mi), the bay features over 1,600 islands and islets

Board the Golden Cruise, enjoy a welcome from the crew and a safety briefing. Lunch is served on board as you cruise through the bay’s stunning seascape.

Visit the impressive Surprise Cave (Sung Sot), then head to a nearby island with sandy beaches and explore the pagoda. Enjoy swimming, kayaking, or simply relax at the sundeck bar.

Cruising back to Tuan Chau as the sun goes down, have a quick rest at Cua Vang restaurant before driving back to Hanoi arriving in the late afternoon

Day 5: Hoi An (B/ -/ -)

After breakfast, your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to begin today’s excursion. You’ll drive to a charming workshop where Hoi An’s famous silk lanterns are crafted. During this hands-on, one-hour session, you’ll learn how silk and bamboo are expertly combined to create these beautiful lanterns—and have the opportunity to make one yourself.

Next, head to Cam Thanh Village, a peaceful community on the outskirts of central Hoi An. Visit a local family’s home to connect with your hosts and gain insight into their daily life.

From there, board a traditional bamboo basket boat for a serene ride through the nearby water coconut forest before returning to your hotel by car.

Upon arrival, meet and transfer to your hotel for luggage store.

Begin your journey at Notre Dame Cathedral, an impressive red-brick church with twin spires, built using materials imported entirely from France.

Across the square, visit the Central Post Office, a beautiful colonial-era building completed in 1891, known for its grand architecture and historical significance.

You will then take a short drive to the former Presidential Palace (also known as the Reunification Palace), which served as the headquarters of the South Vietnamese government during the Vietnam War.

Continue to visit the War Remnants Museum, which offers a powerful and often graphic perspective of the war, told through the eyes of the Vietnamese people.

Relax with a traditional Vietnamese coffee as your guide shares insights into local life and offers a brief Vietnamese language lesson before returning back to your hotel

Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City (B/ -/ -)

Leave a city center, embark on a 2-hour drive northwest to the Cu Chi Tunnels—an immense network of underground passageways first developed in 1948 to protect Viet Cong guerrillas from French air and ground attacks.

Cu Chi tunnels evolved into a vast subterranean complex, serving as living quarters, communication and supply routes and more. Touring this remarkable site offers a deeper understanding of the ingenuity, endurance, and resilience of the Vietnamese during times of war.

Explore sections of the tunnels, learn about life underground, and gain insight into the strategies that shaped Vietnam’s wartime history.

After the visit, return to Saigon. The balance of the day is free at leisure.

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be – Ho Chi Minh city (B/ L/ -)

The day begins with a brief visit to Cai Be, followed by a stop at a local workshop where you’ll discover the traditional art of making rice paper, coconut candy, and popped rice. Enjoy a selection of these sweet treats paired with a warm cup of tea.

Next, board a rowing boat that will take you deeper into the tranquil countryside, navigating smaller canals to soak in the peaceful surroundings. Visit a local garden where you can savor fresh fruits and tea while listening to traditional Vietnamese music.

Enjoy lunch at a local house. Afterward, head to Tân Phong Island for a biking or walking tour along village paths. Experience the daily life of locals as you pass orchards, schools, churches, pagodas, and traditional houses. Along the way, stop to watch artisans weaving dried water hyacinth into beautiful products such as baskets, bags, hats, wallets, and shoes.

The cruise concludes back at Cai Be pier, where you will then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City, ending this immersive cultural journey.
